HERE is a pdf of a controller, which seems bad to the bone - but what would use a lcd controll have for a eithernet port ?

I'm a bit puzzled and intrigued at the possibilities.

According to the controller's manual.....

26. Control over network connection : This is a network device that allow to control RS-232 enable devices over a TCP/IP
based Ethernet and the Internet using a web browser. The hardware circuitry is ready on board. But this software function
will be supported in next revision.

Well, it says that the ethernet is for IP-50 connection, which is an ethernet to serial digital interface. Presumably with the correct driver, one could then display an image on the monitor with an ethernet connection. I can't see myself using that though. It would be similar to one device which I saw that will connect a VGA monitor to a PC using a USB cable.

ok I missed that, however I thinks its a bit beyond me atm - I get the idea I just guess I missed the class on how that is a handy thing to have, which in the ends means I dont need it wink.gif

Still though, controlling it through the browser is intriguing. I like how my router web interface is set up. might have to comb the pdf for any advantages other then messing with the dog from the coffee shop blink.gif
