Hey everybody,

I am in the research phase before I start building a projector and I was wondering where you buy the lenses and light kits? I see the LL store doesn't have the pro-kit so I was wondering where I could buy one or the equivalent. I have a 17" LCD with a burned out back light that I am planning to use.

I was also wondering if anyone has designed a way to have a focus on the projector so that you can move it around and focus it regardless of the distance you are from the screen (with in reason of course).

Thank you for any help.

There's a whole thread on focusing mechanisms.

Most of these change the position of the projection lens relative to the rest of the optics.

Mine is slightly different, but the same principle applies. I move the LCD relative to everything else.

You can look in the trading post for lenses. They still show up there from time to time. The lenses have not been removed from the store, but I don't know when there will be stock again.

Maybe I'm missing something, but the only lenses I can find in the LL store are the 220mm & 650mm Pro Fresnel lenses (both out of stock). I'm planning on building a projector and trying to base my design on either the standard or pro triplet, but I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Are the LL Pro 500mm Triplet, and the LL Standard 320mm Triplet no longer sold in the LL store? Is the trading post the only place to find them now?
