Pioneer blue ray player/burner will not play in my brand new computer. I have anNvidea gf 9800 gt vid card.I have downloaded several free drivers, but no luck yet. Has anyone heard of this kind of trouble before?

You'll need to be a LOT more specific.

USB, IDE, Esata. What operating system?

What do you mean by doesn't work? Does it work as a Dvd player, is it recognized by Windows? When you installed it did Windows ask for drivers and then say it was installed properly?

More info please smile.gif

Serial ata interface. PioneerBDC-SO2BK bd-rom/dvd/cd writer. Windows xp edition only supported with 32 bit, not 64. It does work with installation programs and games. Just no blue ray disc playback. I did have a friend load xp on my computer. Maybe I should remove and reinstall?

I just checked on the price of powerdvd 50.00. I could purchase it if it would work. I just think it shoud play with the disc they give you.

Yea I think PowerDvd is the only one that works right now though.

Downloaded trial version of powerdvd. It actually started to play. however i got an error. It said that my connection device is digital, but not hdcp. I am using a dvi cable from nvidea 9800 gt card to my hanns g hw191d monitor. Is this error in my computer operating system?

It is because your monitor is not HDCP enabled.

A program called AnyDvd HD solves that problem
