Hello, if my bulb has a universal burning postion does it mean that i can put it in any position but it will still burn. I am asking this beacuse i don't want my lumen output to become less everytime i turn on my lamp. So which position can i turn it on in without burning it?

thank you

Yes almost any position should work. Just make sure that you don't mount it where the "salts" will settle in an area of the bulb that will be facing the screen. This happens in vertical setups mostly.

Yep - Universal burning position means you can fire it up no matter the position of the lamp. That's not necessarily saying certain positions won't give a slightly longer lifespan but I wouldn't worry about it!

Edit: I'm so slow. sad.gif

Edit 2: Just salts? Does the pepper make any difference? laugh.gif

Edit 3: In a vertical folded the salts wouldn't truly "face" the screen. tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

Edit 4: I just made my worthless post even more worthless. blink.gif

In a vertical with the screen on bottom and the lamp on top the "salts" and peppers tongue.gif would settle on the bottom of the lamp which would then be facing the lcd. Right?

And I don't recall saying vertical folded.

Yeah, the LCD not the screen. And technically I'd call that an inverted vertical. Can you tell I'm just feeling bored today? laugh.gif

Ok, not sure what enclosure your planning but as to the lamp positioning for projection purposes this is what I experimented with.
