In the On state (but without the power button pressed), current from the smaller gauge 2-wire set puts out 26V, while the larger gauge set puts out 130V; with On+Power Up pressed the smaller set puts out the same voltage, while the thicker wire voltage spikes. With the smaller ballast connector removed, the projector does not actually send power the bulb (no spiking/buzzing on larger set), but still goes through the cycle of trying to fire before throwing an error.
The 12-wire connector set leading from the lamp controller to the LCD/control board puts out the voltage below steadily in either powered state:

Should I try grounding the smaller 26V lamp present wire, or could the lamp check be the 10V lead @ pin 11 on the controller connector? Info or suggestions appreciated in advance - trying not to fry this thing.
