Good morning everybody,
i'm having some issue with my pw106 board. I'm from italy, and i bought it in some european shop.
Now i have problems, and anyone is capable to help.

Board is named RTEC WHT-v20D-N whit pixelworks chipset (someone can confirm)? Inputs are: 2xcomponent 2xHDMI and 1xVGA (why does your pw106 has also 2xAV???)

Main issues:

I'm not able to set 16:9 only choices possible are 1:1 ; 4:3; full strech.

I have a blinking red led light near the chipset

the controller is not properly functioning:
please look at the video here

I'm driving a 15,4 wuxga from toshiba.

Any help will be really appreciated.

PS Is there a way to backup and load different firmware in this device?

Thanks a lot!

1:1 will get your 16:9 if you feed it a 1080p signal. Otherwise the "full stretch" will get you 16:10.

Your worst case is that you have a 720p signal, or worse, a 480p signal, in which case 1:1 doesn't work so well. I'd just work from 1080p with that controller myself.

A PC will upscale, and keep the correct aspect ratio as well, using the DVI or VGA inputs.

i perfectly got what you said and it was some i was thinking me too.
The screen is 16:10 and full strectch will stretch eveything to that AR.
I would need a 16:9 full stretch to see the right dimension on a 720p and a 4:3 full stretch to see a PD in the whole screen (both with black bars where needed)

Actually 4:3 full stretch is an option on the firmware, but i did not tested it. But the most used will be the missing one...16:9

Anyway, controller is having the worst issue....i can't see 1:1 with 1080p or with 1200p since there's somenthing bugged in the controller ;(
