Looks like its going to be good. (OTOH, I had high hopes for "Legend of the Seeker" and was severely disappointed...)

But its got Morena Baccarin ("Inara" from Firefly/Serenity and "Adria" on Stargate: SG1) so that's got to be a plus:

frankenstein

how many hours I have laid awake contemplating the weapon the "V" used, some sort of plasma ball or electrified ball.

I remember being all creeped out about V when it first came out.

Somehow Im not really certain that "V" and "Tron" are in the same class...not very much anyway...

But if Morena Baccarin is in it...welll...I have to take a closer look. wink.gif

Hollywood must be running dry of fresh ideas, though it might go well if the have the 1/2 "V" 1/2 human baby in it smile.gif OH and lets not forget a cameo by Robert Englund

SyFy is doing a original "V" marathon tonight!

So, 2 episodes down the chute. Thumbs up or down OK?

I caught both episodes last night on Hulu.
The first one made me want to watch the 2nd.

I'm having a hard time with the cloned skin.
I mean it clearly looks at least an inch thick.

The V would have to be extreamly small framed in order to not look like human charicatures.

That's really my only beef.

Oh and scott wolf.

seriously?

I do enjoy the "anyone can be a V" feeling. sort of like Who's a cylon from BSG.

It's the rare SciFi that doesn't mandate at least some small suspension of that overpowering urge to say "No way! That just can't be!". biggrin.gif

I like it a lot so far. My only beef is that with a one hour pilot and given that they just had to 'let the lizard out of the bag' by the end of the first episode it seems to be moving way too quickly. I would like to have seen the pilot be a bit longer so they could have moved a tad slower, develop the characters a bit more then we could see some (lizard) skin at the end of two hours...

But with that said, all in all, I really like it.

I was kind of surprised to see lizard skin in the first show as well. And Nit_Wid's comment about the paranoia factor of anyone could be a V is dead on. Very nice to have that kind of background for suspense. I see the new season of Legend of the Seeker is on Hulu now too so I guess I'll go back to following that as well. Oh yeah, the thing between Anna and the reporter is fun too.

I too was surprised at first, but then I started to think about it. The majority of the shows that have been cancelled lately were because they didnt "grab an audience" fast enough. Paranoia and the slow sell worked at that time, but now we need a definite enemy who we can identify and begin to take action against. In the real world, lately, the US has been sort of castrated by the lack of clear, defined enemies which we could counteract effectively.
This show delivers it to the masses, so it will most likely become popular.

Turn off your brain...and watch Morena....sigh
