have you looked at the ox pro 4 1024x768 native compared to 854x480 for the evo and every ballast dies in the evo's.. I am thinking about buying a ox pro 4 349.99 on ebay..
evo 848x480 on one hdtv input 600 contrast 1000 lumens
ox pro 4 2 hdtv inputs plus vga and 1024x768 native 700 contrast 1600 lumens 6000hrs bulb and year warranty and extra bulb.
not to talk bad about the evo but lumenlab needs to build evo 3 with it being 720 native.

The dying ballast issue was mostly with the eVo 1.2. The others didn't have a high percentage of ballast failures.
To build a small 720p native resolution projector would place it's price at close to $1000. Not affordable for most members looking for a cost effective solution.

LumenLab isn't likely to ever go back to an eVo after what the eVo did to LumenLab.
I've just arranged to buy another one, hopefully with all parts needed to make it work, but until I try to fix it, I won't know.

I totally understand and have been here long enough to follow most of the topics. I guess I was just hoping that maybe somewhere they had overlooked 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 in the corner

that they forgot about (even though it says out of stock)
But in any event you snooze you lose! I should have just bought them when I had originally planned.

Be careful, guys. I bought two of these, and they were OK- not operational, but at least complete, which is exactly as advertised. I went back later (a couple of weeks ago) and bought two more, and they were complete junk- one was packed without much protection, and it rattles like there are lots of loose/broken parts inside. The other one is missing the complete light assembly- bracket, socket, cover, etc. Someone had stripped it already for parts. I haven't had time yet to see what else is missing.
Frankly, the first purchase was good, the second, I feel a bit gypped, not because we didn't know that these were DOA, but you would at least expect to get a complete non-functional unit, not the leftover scraps of a unit. I feel like they need to add more to the disclaimer if this is what they are selling, because there is no way to fix them, you have to basically re-build them.
