Ya that design will work. thats basically the same design i used with my projector except i used a 10.6" LCD with MST controller and standard lens. Have fun with the build, i did.

Nice design and nice work on the Sketchup model.
The light engine will probably end up a little closer to the rear fresnel, as the distance from rear fresnel to the center of the lamp's arc will be more like 210mm.
It would be best if you design the build so that you can move the lamp and triplet lens forward and back +/- 25mm for tweaking purposes.

Also, if you're buying the same triplet that LL sells, the flange of the triplet will most likely face the mirror/LCD. Can't say for certain, but you might want to experiment before cutting up your wood for the enclosure.

Thanks for your reactions both.

I will put my triplet and ligtbox on rails i think.
But I have also another question. how to do keystone in a folded design.
The Lens is not from LL but from a guy form a Dutch diy forum.
There I read that the screw holes need to point at the projectionscreen.

Thanks in advance

On a horizontal folded, you can have the front fresnel pivot from the center of the sides of the fresnel with an adjustment knob on the outside, like TESCORP did.

thx for the tip. but i have a question about the keystone.

i do no understand the text ( you can have the front fresnel pivot from the center of the sides of the fresnel) directly.
and on the picture i can see the knob but dont' so how it works. can you explane it with a draw please.

Thanks in advance

Difference between top pivot and center pivot.

Check this post for more info (rotate the image 90 degrees for a horizontal folded design): http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?s...st&p=306637

thx for the tips now i understand.
I think i wil start this week with building. taking a lot of pictures and write a plog
But before i start i have 1 more question. the distance between LCD en the pivot fresnel need it to stay the 2cm or must it be bigger for the keystoning.

I appreciate your help

thx in advance

It's recommended to have the part of the Fresnel that will be closest to the LCD between 1cm to 2cm.
Here's a lengthy explanation: http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=63547

So if i understand good i need to put my fresnel if i want to do 15° on 5.6 cm.
Becouse it tilt from center 3.6 cm.

here is a picture of it

Well... you probably won't even get 15 degrees of keystoning before the projected image becomes too distorted to watch.
Most people who build folded horizontal projectors don't bother with keystoning, as they mount the projector so that it's perpendicular to the center of their screen, so there's not much previous info to go on.
You might want to build a mock-up out of cardboard and experiment a bit before you cut the wood for your enclosure.

i will do that thx for fast replying and al the help.

I think I gone make everyting in wood becous I can get my wood for free biggrin.gif.
I wil make it first large enough. and make it then schorter to the mesurments i need.

thx in advance
