Hello I've been running my projector for quite some time without issue and just last night on my birthday of all days it started to act up on me.
The monitor which is a synaps 15.4" widescreen LCD from walmart turns on then displays the message [no input signal], even though nothing was changed or moved or unplugged, so i tried other cables and tired running my xbox VGA cable straight to the LCD controller instead of running through my TV box converter, and nothing.
When i unplug the cable thought the LCD will display the message not connected and the led turns from green to orange, so it knows that there is something connected, but it doesn't display anything.
Anyone have any thoughts? I'm thinking if i cannot get it figured out that i will have to get a new LCD, which would be a shame because everything powers up just fine and turns on.

First things first. Check that your xBox VGA cable is working and sending a good signal. No sense in changing the LCD if that's not the problem.

Try hooking it up to a PC through VGA, too.

IIRC I had similar problems with a couple of my first LCD's. You've just got to eliminate everything but the panel/controller combo by plugging in known good signal sources like already stated above. Exhaust all other possibilities and be prepared to bite the bullet if need be. Best of luck.

well i should mention i was at work and my girlfriend and roomate broke the circuit that runs my projector, but they immediately turned it back on and shut off the bulb, later that day i came home and played video games on it and shut it off normally, later again that night when i turned it back on it gave me the signal input problem.
However 1 1/2 days later i changed the vga cable that runs from my tv box converter to the lcd with a vga cable from a different vga cable and it just started working again. you would think problem solved right?
Well no yesterday watching movies on netflix the circuit blew again (running too much juice 2 air cons and projector with 5.1 surround 2 xboxs etc etc my rental house has a bad wiring design)
Anyways when i went to turn the projector on again it gave me that dang no iput signal again, so i thought just as last time i would switch out the vga cable that fixed my problem last time. It didnt work, so i just let it sit for a while and about an hour later the lcd mysteriously worked just fine again. I watched some movies on it last night and shut it off just as normal and went to bed.
Now i just got home from work and went to turn it on......[no input signal]. so i went through the motions of switching between my 3 vga cables and its not working currently, but who knows in an hour it could.
like i said in my first post i ran just my xbox's vga cable into the controller to see if it would have been my tv box not allowing a good signal through, but it did not work for my xbox either so I think my lcd is acting screwy on me.
Anyone else have any thoughts, right now i will attempt to connect my laptop to the lcd to see if it works, but I'm not getting my hopes up just yet.
* I also tried to look online for a replacement the first time it went out on me and it seems that 15.4" screens aren't really sold anymore except as replacement laptop screens, so i would have to redesign my lcd cradle or even the box to put in a replacement panel if it comes to that.

I'd start looking at the area around the VGA connector for anything else that may have been touched/moved/disturbed when you switch cables. It probably isn't the cable at all, but a connection elsewhere.
This goes for both ends. The LCD end and the PC/Xbox end.
