I was wondering if the mods might be able to possibly add a "Where can I find" forum? Sometimes people here might want to ask other LL forum'ers where they can fond parts, supplies, information. To start a "where can I find" forum would be a great addition to the board. Some people here have absolutely great "inside" knowings of providers of some great products. If you agree with me "non-mod'ers" please post here to help get this created.

We all been there wanted to know where to get a specific part for a good deal and I'd say I tend to have issues knowing where to post this information. We could help each other in our quest to find parts for our DIY project, but still do it on a DIY budget.

If no one else backs this, then I guess it's just me who really wants to know the "secret sources" of great parts.

It does seem a good idea but I can envision this lengthy set of posts for all sorts of different stuff and then the whole topic gets to be quite cumbersome to navigate if it does turn into a juggernaut. If someone wants to act as overseer and keep it clean after coming up with a workable format then fine. If we adopt a forum with a separate thread for each item that's just as bad - at least in my opinion. What format would work best? A comprehensive set of pigeonholes encompassing everything and anything comprising only maybe a few dozen or so "unique" categories? I'm babbling, aren't I? biggrin.gif

Organisation does seem to be the issue.

It'd take some thought so that it didn't need constant pruning, and old (outdated) information hanging around forever.

I'm thinking though that this is one of those ideas which are fine in concept, but like the "compatable LCD" list, will quickly become difficult to keep up to date.

It's probably better to ask in the builder forum when you're looking for a specific part, or type of part...
