Hello everyone,
I inherited a Canon LV-S3 projector from work. The machine has a problem where it doesn't power on. After sending it to the company to have it fixed they told them it needed a new PCB Ass'y and it would be like $500 to repair. So I figured I could use the parts (Lenses, bulb etc) to make another one myself. But first I would like to know if there is any place to purchase a PCB Ass'y that I could repair it myself. So would any of you happen to know of a good site that I might find parts for sale?
Thanks,
Jester

I am not so familiar but you can try them at
http://www.film-center.com/parts.html or
http://www.projectorcentral.com/lamp-suppliers.htm hopefully you will get the best one from there

Call the manufacturer. They're usually happy to provide parts, but they won't warranty them if you put them in yourself. PCBs are going to be specific to the model of projector.
Unfortunately the lenses aren't likely to do you a lot of good, considering that is a 3LCD model with a 1cm panel size. It's highly unlikely that you'll be able to find a useable LCD panel small enough to use those lenses. Maybe the lamp, but then again, probably not.
