Hi there, I am working on a high end portable projector.

I have a 20.1" N201J4-L01 LCD panel.
Monitor ID CMO2000
Manufacturer N201J4-L01
20.1 "CMO N201J4-L01 NOTEBOOK PC
600:1 contrast LVDS
Pixel Pitch 0225
Brightness 300 nits (5p)
Power Consumption 13W
View Angle (U / D / L / R) 70/70/60/60
Production Date Price 9 / 2006
Remarks Slim dual CCFL, Thin & High Brightness
Serial No
Maximum viewable image size 44 cm x 28 cm (20.5 ")
5:3 pixel scanning
Gamma 2:20
DPMS Mode Support None
Device Technology Raster Display
Resolution 1920 x 1200
32 bit color depth
Color 1
Font Resolution 96 dpi
Pixel Width / Height 36 / 36
Pixel Diagonal 51
Vertical refresh rate 59 Hz

I am thinking about using this driver board, http://www.pelcode.com/English/images/sub0...eaflet_v1_0.pdf
My only concern about it the board says it can interface with a 1920 x 1200 monitor, but it doesn't say it can process that resolution. It constantly touts its 1080p
resolution though. I would like to find a LCD IC / Driver Board that was very clear it supports the N201J4 and 1920 x 1200

My second concern is powering the monitor via USB. This is a 13v monitor, and I've seen some setups that step USB voltage up to 15v.
I have no experience or know how on building these sorts of voltage stepper-uppers. I am curious if anyone would know some sort of
simple stepper solution that wouldn't require me to learn how to read board diagrams and build one my self. The biggest consern is it is
dual back lit, which means more power consumption and more hookups. I attached a picture of the lamp plugs.

Any comments would be appreciated!

Welcome to the forum!

Have you sourced a vendor that sells fresnel lenses large enough to cover your 20" LCD panel?
We usually don't recommend anybody use anything larger than a 19" LCD and I, personally, wouldn't consider recommending anything larger than a 17" LCD.

Or this Google search of the LL forum: site:lumenlab.com 20" LCD

You might run across a "quirk" when searching using Google, however. If you notice the thread looking "wonky" like this image, simply go up the the top right corner of the thread and click on Options and then Switch to: Standard.

Thanks for the response! I can make my own so the only real concern for me right now is the video driver board and powering it portability. I've not been able to find any reliable source for a good wuxga driver board smile.gif
