Hello to anyone that is still out there in lumenlab world. I restarting my projector build because its been sitting around and not being used. I'm moving in a few months to go to college and i don't want to buy an expensive tv when i already have everything to build a projector.

My parts:

this is my previous projector I have 400w Ushio bulb 10.6"lcd w/ genesis controller a reflector 2 fans, and precon that I want to use.

Questions at this point:

Design?- I'd like this to be as small and as simple as possible. I'm visiting my house today and looking at my room and trying to figure out where Ican set this projector up. Simple and small are really the big things here. I'm very noobish with crafting things and coming up with ideas for designs and ANY help whatsoever would be good. I've looked at commercial projectors but as of now I can't find any on ebay that I could use as an enclosure

LCD- I have NO idea what layers are pulled off of my lcd. I was told that everything was pulled off correctly when I received it. The color was fairly dark which is why i stopped using it. I will try to set the projector up with my old design and get some pics. I will also post some pics of the LCD and try to figure out which layers are left on the LCD.

Mounting the Precon- Any ideas on creating something to hold the precon in place would be great you don't even want to see how i did it before.

The first time i went through this I was real sloppy. I want to keep up with this PLOG and would love any help or suggestions you guys could give. Right Now im going to take pics of the current setup

THANKS

The smallest and simplest 10.6 projector that I've seen was b0rna's Little 10.6 box. I think it was something like 18" long and only as wide and high as the 10.6" LCD was.

one picture here is the picture of the screen with the precon. its just a plain white screen. there is also a tv that is sitting on a dresser covering up part of my screen. The other picture is a picture of the setup i have.

Should i move the reflector closer? I was never sure how close to move it. Any other suggestions?

AFter I get off of work ill connect to my computer and xbox to get some pictures.

If you have Excel, you can try the Radius Of Spherical Reflector Calc.

thank you I did not use that. Ill measure what mine is at now and see if it needs to be improved. I'm also going to hook up a computer to check out the color and brightness of it. I'll post pictures up as soon as i get them.

and If anyone can point me in the direction of where I can find a guide on removing the polars and ag off of this panel. I believe I have just one layer of polar off on the front. I'm not really sure how many layers are on it the lcd from the beginning. unsure.gif
