Hello, I apologise if this is the wrong place for this.

I noticed in you database you list this (my) monitor as being "easy to strip". Can anyone show me how? I can't find anything on the case that would indicate how to dismantle it; the only screws present hold the stand on.

I need to get the screen out because a bug (yes, an insect) has somehow gotten between the TFT and the covering layer, meaning I have this ugly blob of deceased insect on my screen permanently. It's really bugging me tongue.gif

If anyone can help I'd be most appreciative, as I don't think bugs are covered by monitor warranty. Although it does look like a cluster of about 6 dead pixels...

Found using Google: site:lumenlab.com strip HW191D

Though member KWS didn't specify, I'm guessing that the screws that you need to remove would be the two on either side of the base and the four screws on the outside corners (one per corner).

Try not to swat bugs with your monitor, next time. wink.gif

But it's such a satisfying method! But anyway - must have been a different version because my monitor's case has absolutely zero screws visible other than the stand attachment. *looks at pics* Yep, that's my monitor, and that's precisely where the screws aren't.

May not be an issue now - the bug has disappeared (and I think I swatted it while it was on the outside this time...) Maybe it got bored when I turned the pc off for the night.
