Most important question: what model of screen is it?
( What is the coating?)

Good question. I would say look on the back of the fabric or on the case itself. They probably have a code for what fabric the screen is supposed to be.

BTW, Ballpoint or marker?

IF Dalite tells you that you are in trouble...
and IF you are willing to risk it...

Look in the supermarket cleaner ailse for Carbona stain removers. They have one designed to remove ball point pen ink. Go VERY slowly with a q-tip and see if one part will clean.

But talk with Dalite first...you may have one of the low matte screens that can be cleaned with warm soapy water. Keep your fingers crossed.

Well by trade I fix and repair furniture aswell as furniture cleaning.

I use a Hot Foam extraction method.

The best chemical I found to get rid of ink is made by von shraeder to be used before use of their ulpholstry machine. Its called peliminary. It is actually what the name says you spray the area with this compound and brush off with a white cloth and white hair brush to eliminate bleeding from the tools before using the machine. Now this chemical has to be tested before use I am not positive it would work with your screen but 99.9% of products I have used it on had no side effects.

Honestly to elimate ink to the fullest it must be caught within 24 hours of the stain the fresher the easier. If your going to use household items use dish soap but beat it with either a hand mixer to create foam and use the foam to clean the item.

If your screen glimmers or sparkles brightly, it is most likely a beaded screen.

The cleaning instructions that came with my beaded Da-Lite tell me I can lightly dust my screen: can't use anything wet.

Hope you have a matte finish instead.

I use a specail softscrub with bleach "gel" to pinpoint my stains. it seems to work great on my tshirts with no yellowing, could be worth a try.
