Parts:
AOC 15.4 LCD monitor 1280x720 native resolution (about 13.5 inches wide)
220mm large fresnel cut to size
320mm large fresnel both cut about 1cm wider then lcd on all sides
320mm std triplet with 65mm clear glass diameter
At the moment the box has a hole on top and testing is done in straight shooter design.
Both fresnels are behind the lcd and separated with a 15mm space.
I removed the pola which had a AG fused to it. I then took a pola from another panel and placed it at the triplet. Worked great. Nice and sharp since no AG is fused to this Pola.
My problem however is that the sides are rather dim compared to the center 1/3. Checked my focal lengths and positioning of everything but still the image is unveven.
There is a hole in the top because i decided it may be better to place the FS mirror after the triplet just like a overhead projector design. I then realized that introduces another problem. Unless the mirror is right up against the triplet it will further enlarge the image in the short throw distance already. So still deciding where to put the mirror.
The cooling is rather unorthodox but it worked for my last projector so i decided to repeat it. 3 fans on the lcd blow cool air in. There is no out take in the lcd area and above. The area will be sealed from the light area below with wood but nothing extreme.
The 3 white tubes on the left (back of projector) are intakes for the light chamber. The 2 holes on either side are for the outake fans which will be 80mm but may switch to 100mm. Im powering the fans with a computer fan. If the fans are too noisy on the lcd i can connect them to a 5v wire which is less then half the pump.
