I think
Windcalmer used a variation of that LCD monitor. Try this Google search, as well:

polar layer, TAC layer and a reflective layer. The reflective layer may come off in two "layers" (see

philw's PLOG). There typically isn't any anti-glare applied to the backlight side.
I would recommend that you leave the front alone and try projecting with it. If you still want to strip it, read as much about stripping LCDs as you can, and then try polishing it.

If that still doesn't work for you, and you're satisfied that you won't kill yourself if you end up killing your LCD, then go for it.
