I see that a LCOS display is similar to LCD one. But it can be very small, and doesn't require a color wheel.

So I'm here asking you if it's possible to buy somewhere a LCOS display + Driver IC at an affordable price.
I would like to make a tiny projector with a dual layer LED matrix and a LCOS display, but I can't figure out how to find the latter.
Please consider resolution from 640x480 and above (640x480 is ok, 800x600 is better), and size under 3".

I hope you'll put in this thread whatever suggestions useful for a DIY LCOS projector project.
