Well, I've started in (again) on some DIY amplifiers.

I've now pieced together a couple of Gainclone clones... These are using PCBs and circuit designes found on Elliot Sound Productions (http://sound.westhost.com/) project 19. The amplifiers are based on National Semicondictors LM3876 chip (I'll be making a couple using the slightly more robust LM3886 chip as well) and should be good for a nice little mini system.

I still need to build the power supply and test these, but I'm pretty confident in my soldering skills, so I expect them to be just fine.

I've yet to attach the heat sink to the drivers, and of course attatch power/input/output, but here's the (almost) finished board. These need 2 more simple resistors, but they have to be somewhat higher wattage devices than what I have on hand.
