Hi,

Not really DIY electronics, but this seemed the most relevant place.
An idea came to me the other day of a circuit to control the lamp and fan(s) of the projector in a similar way to a professional projector using something like a PIC chip.

Simply:
Logic circuit controlling the lamp and fan via relays
You press a button (like the power button on a commercial PJ) and the lamp and fans come on
You press it again and an LED comes on, press it again within X seconds and the lamp goes off, but the fan is left running for a set amount of time.

This could have extras incorporated such as:

7-seg display or LCD screen for setting things like the time before the fan switches off
Thermistor for temperature-sensitive fan useage
IR control
Lamp hours counter

Anyway, I would be prepared to manufacture and distribute such product (either finished or just a PCB) but would anyone be interested in buying something like this for their project?
And which features do you think are good ideas, which could be done without?
All feedback appreciated

Rory
