I have been searching and reading and I still can't seem to find an answer to the question, what is the best way to paint a screen??

My situation is this. My town rec dept. wants to have a community movie night. I will be putting this together(hardware) and they will be promoting it. This is the kind of thing that happens when you show movies out back in your yard for friends and family when one of them is the rec director so be careful.

We will want to start the movie before dark so light gain is paramount so to speak. I have a 2500 output projector. I use it in the back yard on a white tarp stretched with tent bungies out to electrical conduit. Far from opticaly perfect but it was cheap and easily tore down in the winter and stored. The one we will be building for the town will be roughly as big or a little bigger. 16ft wide is what we are shooting for. I know my projector will do that size but I would still like to get the best gain within financial reason. I checked into GOO and they should call it WOW. What a price. That is the long story. Short story is I have no idea what mixture is the best or better for my situation. We will have some ambient light for far off street lights, also some twilight at the beginning of the movie. There are some trees around for some light blockage.

We will be making this out of what ever is nessasary and it doesnt even need to be light. We have tons of room to store when done so it doesnt have to roll up or anything.

I appreciate any help. You guys were great when I built my projector(that i lost interest in and bought one)

thanks
scott

Otherwise, Behr UPW flat latex is what I'd consider
