Finally got my 15.4 WUXGA build completed (if they ever are completed) and am having some reeeeeally bad focus problems.

I am using a LL 400w MH lamp, pro reflector, Pro fresnels (unsplit setup), 15.4 WUXGA LCD, and a 18" Beseler Triplet. I know that some people have had corner focus issues with the 15.4/18" beseler combo, but this is very very bad.

If I focus the center, the top, bottom, left, and right 1/3 the screen are out of focus. As I attempt to focus the edges, the center is out of focus. What I have had to settle for is the edges and center are out of focus, but a ring 1/3 of the way to the edge of the screen is sharp.

Any hints? because I am pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. dry.gif

Are the rings on the fresnel's facing each other?
I had a similar problem after cleaning my lenses, & discovered i had put the front fresnel lens in backwards!
Hope this helps, otherwise i have no idea. smile.gif

Ok, if this forum has a stupid helmet, I must wear it for all eternity. My fresnels were facing the right direction, however because of my design the bottom is 3/4" shorter to the center than the top. I had the front fres in upside down, which was off alignment from the lamp/rear fresnel/triplet. Flipped the front fres over and woila! She looks like a champ!

/me goes to look up the number for the short bus. Looks like I will need to get a ride to work tomorrow!!!!
