Hey guys,
I have a computer sound system issue, I have four computers hooked up to a switch box which I made myself and works pretty well, but if I turn on all of the computers I get some loud computer noises, ie weird buzzings and beeping noises (like the interworkings of a computer but out loud). The weird part of it is that when I unplug the laptops in the setup, the sound goes away.
I went to my local radioshack and asked them about the issue and they prescribed an audio isolating transformer, but with four different audio inputs I dont know which grounds to use the transformer or multiple transformers on.

Any and all help is appreciated,
thanks

Basically that's interference in the audio amplifier.

If you can shield the line-level leads from EMI, that will help a lot.
