Ok so I would like to know if anybody has gotten a pj to work with a very short throw for a rear-projector. I am looking a 720p projector so 10.6" will do and I am looking for about 32" diagonal from 2' or so. Is this possible and what setup would I need?

Thanks

If you're new you will need to ask this question in the Newbie area. That what I had to do to get someone to answer my questions. I'm going for a 52" old RCA CRT RPTV. I think I can get it done with one of the CRT lenes. Most think they need to be directly on the LCD but they forget the liquid that acts like a fresnel lens of sorts. I'm going to give it a try anyway.

You can find this information out using FocalCalc.
Using a 10.6" LCD and the S15 Lens Kit will give you a throw of about 4 feet (for a 32" screen). I'm guessing that's too long a throw for your application.
Even using a 15.6" widescreen LCD and the S15 Lens Kit, you'll still end up with about a 3 foot throw for the same 32" screen.

If you use the 10.6" LCD and two 220mm fresnels with a 180mm triplet, then you'll have about a 2.21 foot throw.
