Hi was hoping someone could lend some much needed advice. The problem is that i have 2 12vfans both rated at 0.20 amps and a 12v connverter that is rated with an output of 500mA. Is this suitable? also do i need to consider wiring them them in serial or parallel too?

No problem.

2 fans at 0.2A each is 400mA. your power supply will deliver up to 500mA, so it should be adequate to the task.

Wire the fans in parallel, or else they'll only "see" 6V each, which will not drive them to their full potential.
