Hi all. Iv'e been on these forums for a while. First time post though. I havn't gotten around to creating my own DIY projector, but one day I will, I promise. I bought a projector of ebay. A Hitachi CP-X328. Everything seems to be working except one thing. Something seems to be wrong with the blue LCD. Here are pics to explain. I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

If your blue LCD is shot, the projector is toast.
The good news, I don't think that the LCD is broken.
Here's why: Your first shot, of The Simpsons the colour values looked reasonable. There is still a blue component to the picture, and it appears to be correct with the rest of the image. If there were no blue part of the image, the whites would be yellow, and the blues (mirror, window) would be black, or at least dark brown.
The extra blue light looks like light that is escaping around the blue LCD, and maybe reflecting back onto it. This light would then hit the prism that integrates the 3 images and only the blue component would be projected.
So it seems to me that what you're looking for is damage to the mask around the LCD.
Good luck!
