I'd like to try making a projector using this cheap 3.5" LCD screen.

Could someone pass me a project I could follow, with the right optics to buy, distances, etc.? I have a very small budget.
I'd like to have a project with mirrors as compact as possible, to make the projector very small, but also straight-through designs would be welcome.

I don't care very much at quality/colors/uniformity/etc., I "just" want a projected image on a big screen (e.g. 50" diagonal), for as few bucks as possible.

I'd also like some suggestions for what lens I could use to obtain a 50" projection from about 3 meters of distance, for an lcd of 3.5" like the one I've written above, and for a 2.5" like this one.
