Ever since I was a young man, I have been absolutely awed by nuclear weapons and the technology behind them! A great book to read is Richard Rhodes's "The Making of The Atomic Bomb". This is a sort of gateway text into the overall history of what really occurred at Los Alamos, fascinating reading!
There was, for a couple of years, such an assemblage of brain-power at that place! Fermi, Bohr, Lawrence, Oppenheimer, Szilard, Einstein, Johnny Von Neumann! You wanna talk about your A-list!
It took those guys to make it happen!
Praise God that these men were working on our side!
We truly live in a nation that is blessed by God, the evidence is overwhelming!

Actually Your both right. It's official name was the First Tacoma Narrows bridge but quickly earned the name Galloping Gertie.
