WOW.....I'd expect just a weird form of lobster and your right about the coconut part. It's actually the largest hermit crab of it's kind minus a shell for it's home. And it does live off the land and not in the ocean. It feeds off of coconuts and actually husk and cracks the nut with it's claws, now thats POWER!! Where I come from they are called AZUZU, if spelled correctly.

Your getting close. it is a deep sea fish but not a cryptic angler fish or frog fish. as far as i know anyway . its name is extremely unimaginative but very accurate. just think of classic horror movies....
