I was under the impression that the Kitty Hawk flight was lying down....?
I know the plane and the dates but was this the first passenger flight or the new flight record?
I cast my vote for March 10th 1909, based on the whiteness of the background and that it looks like the great white north!

Hmmm, you may be right. I saw a model of one where the pilot layed down rather than sitting.
Oh, and there are no whitey's in there. Those are indians on horseback racing down the hills

Spring loaded shaver implement not depth limited. So, no on the uniform ballz. Also, it looks like prongs stuck into stuff being shaped - so not wood - but something soft - like fruit or veggie.

Ohhhhh....Im really not certain I want to hear about where Durachko
displays his cricket balls....

Okay. Im going back to the apple peeler...I just looked at the string of responses and it appears that he is looking for some qualifier like "Apple Peeler/Corer" or "Late 1800's Apple Corer" or even "Apple Parer"
Anything like that, I am told, qualifies for flogging.
I call.

Close analysis of the picture reveals that this is in fact the first recorded case of air sickness.

Dazz is quite close. Observation is the key word here. I will give you all a hint. It was taken during WWI. The photographer was in another balloon.

Okay, time to give it up.
This is a picture of the first application of modern troop movement monitoring. It first started in WW1. The balloon was anchored to the ground to keep it stable, but it also housed a telegraph line with which they sent messages to the surface about the observations they made and possible advantages that could be had.
Okay...somebody wanna donate another fun one?
