I got bored the other day and decided to knock something up just for the fun of it. Well it turns out, the more I have been thinking about it the more I want it. What is it you ask? It is the Cool Button head/pre-amp. The size of the board is 1.4"x1.32". The traces are .05". The gain is configurable from 1 to 11. My wife named it when she saw the graphics. This thing will fit pretty much anywhere.

With a little more deliberation and some help from some of the guys on head-fi, this thing is nearing completion. I'm sorry that there is no G-code for this just yet. I have been using ExpressPCB software, thus I can't export anything significant. I will be re-doing this in eagle later and I will have something for you CNC guys.
Right now all I have is PNG.

This is the first time I have ever designed a PCB for anything. Any suggestions from you amp heads out there?

I built something like this back in highschool. I used a different IC, a slightly more powerfully one. It was about 12 watts (I think). Ran off of x2 9V batteries (18V). The thing would push any pair of headphones beyond their limits (broke a pair of good Koss headphones with this thing). I loved it. I would use it to boost the audio on the weak amplifier that my portable CD player had (needed to drown out the sounds of the noise on the school bus). I used mostly radioshack parts (large components). Now that I have some designing under my belt, I've been wanting to re-build it using surface mount components.
