Hey guys, I a home built projector. I have been experiencing some issues with trying to play movies on the screen. I can play a movie through windows media player no problem on my regular computer monitor. I can also play them out to the projector; however, I can't play them simultaneously. I have two video outputs on my video card (vga and DVI) and can turn both outputs on and can view my desktop etc in both locations; however, when I play a video, windows media player comes up on the screen but remains blank on the projector....no matter what settings I use. I have an nvidia card and have changed my settings in the nvidia control panel. The odd thing is that if I turn off the output going to my computer monitor, then the video will play on the projector, but not both simultaneously....any suggestions why?

I had the same trouble a couple of years ago when I started using my DIY projector. It has to do with the settings in your media player. A search should take you to that thread in the forums. Sorry I can't give you the information here, but I have since not needed two screens at once and don't remember the details. I do remember downloading a different media player called VLC Media Player, and changed the deinterlace setting. Hope this helps. Good Luck!
