Hey guys, I've been a long time working on my projector... I ordered the pro kit at least 2 years ago and the projector is finally coming to completion.

At the moment, I am running a split optics design and I have focus issues. It seems I can't get any amount of decent focus unless I either: 1) move the front fresnel a large distance from the lcd (6+ inches) or 2) move the pro triplet outside my box a couple of inches.

I built a Haas style box and used focalcalc to get some distance dimensions, but it isn't working out...

Thanks,
Chuck

I'm guessing that you're using the 500mm triplet with the 650mm front fresnel and 220mm rear fresnel. What is the size of your LCD?
Have you double-checked to make sure you have not switched your two fresnels? A lot of people accidentally to do that.

Thanks, but I think I figured it out. I was just being dumb - my lcd and fresnels weren't pushed back far enough. I had the fresnels in the right order, just not in the right spot.

^^^ That will do it every time. laugh.gif Once I got everything lined up in my PJ I took a pencil and drew a line at the front of the LCD sled so that if I have to pull it out I can line it up really fast when I put it all back together. Just an idea.
