New to the forum and have exhausted my efforts on the Rear Screen Projection TV message boards regarding replacement parts sources for my DIY Optical Block rebuild. In my particular case, all I need to do is replace one "red light filter" located between the Red LCD and the Optical Block Cube (prism). Perhaps you DIYers know of a source for this material. I've contacted my local camera supply houses with no luck and of course I've hit a dead end with the TV manufacturer. Since this forum has upload limits, I'll have to attach pics in mutiple posts.
In summary, this "red filter" material is out there and has to be available to DIYers and not just the commercial rebuilders.

This is to actually show the overheated and delaminated light filter panel behind the LCD.

i have a prism block from an old 3lcd projector if you are interested I can throw in mail for ya.

are you sure its the red?? I have read many post that say the blue is usually the first to go?

Here is the "red filter" removed. The center is scorched and the perimeter was clear before I removed it from its substrate at which time it fractured. As you can see, it's about the size of a large postage stamp and was adhered to a 1.2" x .95" plastic substrate which then just slides into the optical block.
