2. 650mm fresnel (groove facing the lcd)

4. Pixelworks Controller
5. 18" beseler projection lens (From Vy Lyte)

I set up roughly to at least try to get an image (lot of light leak). I can focus but I can not get outside the lens circle.

as I move the lens left and right, I can see other part of the lcd

please help. (any suggestion would be much appreciated

No, I am a complete noob : p Should I add 220mm? I have the 650mm only between the light and the lcd. I covered everything up. the room is completely dark. I could see more of the image but still very dim with a bright center. my set up is very rough. Fans and lexan will be added later.

Any pointer would be much appreciated

Thank You

Yea you need to read the Wiki.

You need a 220mm rear fresnel.

The lamp arc (center) will need to be about 210mm from the Lcd. The 220mm fresnel will be about 10mm behind the Lcd.

Then the 650mm fresnel will be about 10mm in front of the Lcd. And then the Beseler will be about 600mm in front of the Lcd.

Your box will be around 3 feet long.

Also the Pro reflector needs to be almost touching your lamp. Snuggle it up real close and center it perfectly.

Thank you very for the info.

I will adjust the pro reflector accordingly

I thougth only split design has fresnel in front (at least according to the focal cal)?

should the 220mm fresnel groove face the lamp?

Thank You very much for all you help

No the 220mm grrove will face the Lcd.

If you are going split then put the 220 about 20mm behind the Lcd grooves facing the Lcd. Then put the 650mm 10mm behind the Lcd with grooves facing the 220mm.

You will have to adjust the distances a bit to get everything perfect, but that is a guesstimate.
