Okay, so we all know a guy who has that $5000 pair of Vanderstiens that can define sound so well they let you pick out the 3rd chair Violinist amongst the whole London Symphony Orchestra. (wine and cheese speakers, I call them. Because its usually the "Wine and Cheese" "Muffy and Biff" crowd that can afford them.)

I'm not talking about those speakers.

I want to see your silly speakers, like these:

or and unique speakers like these:

DIY encouraged but commercial products OK, I guess, if they're super-cool.

Yeah. Im thinking with a little paint and some new mounting techniques, they could be quite the showcase speaker set. Im thinking about retiring my old ones. DBx Soundfield 100's ( the good ones).

Saw these (or something like them) in an audiophile mag almost a decade ago. And yes there is a reason for their design besides looks....

Of course. Long tapered back chamber is anechoic, reducing the possibility of standing waves to near zero. Still looks goofy. smile.gif

Where do you think the reference to "Electro WhoCardio Shnoox " comes from?

The Grinch who Stole Christmas! laugh.gif

You're behind on your Seuss lit, SJ. The EWCS also appears in "Horton Hears a Who."
