I'm interested to see some of your setups for playing game son your pj. I find it uncomfortable to say the least to try and games via pc ( only system I have atm till I get ps3) and was wondering how you all do it.

I'll start:
I'm using a wireless keyboard and mouse with the come about 20 feet form the living room, sitting on the floor with a couch cushion using the coffee table as a desk. Not exactly optimum I know.

I use my xbox360 for playing games on the projector. I have tried the pc a couple of times, but its too much of a hassle for me to run ps2 cables and sound to the projector. I do alot of pc gaming tho and I am ok with sitting 14 inches away from my monitor, what kind of keyboard mouse do you use that will reach 20 feet? That is about how far away I am from the pc. Then maybe I could just run a vga cable to the projector. I have some driving simulators that I would love to put on the projector smile.gif

And imho there are way more exclusive games on the xbox then the ps3, the only reason I ahvent bought one. I think the only games really worth playing are msg4 and motorstorm. I can name over 20 on the xbox. imho 2 games is not worth 400 dollars. Soon tho I think it will be a decent buy maybe smile.gif

more into ps3 for the blue ray, games are a bonus smile.gif

I use Logitech wireless keyboard + mouse. El cheapo from radio shack, I have a dvi-i to HDMI cable running under the floor to the pj.

I Mostly use my pc for couch internet and movies that magically appear on my pc. I too have a logitech combo wireless set. I have tried playing half life 2 and classic counterstrike with my keyboard and mouse but the keyboards the real issue, it cramps my hands to try and maneuver with the keyboard while balncing it on my knee. But that was once, and not the norm, I have a 360 that I play all my games on and I have to say those wireless controllers feel real good compared to the pc setup.

Oh and about the ps3 I returned it recently and got a full refund. I really enjoyed MGS4(but its coming to Xboc), but Nothing else appealed to me, and when I found out you could have your xbox 360 modified to play blank dvd backups, I never looked back. Although I do miss having the conveniance of having blu ray and netflix, as apposed to converting high def video to xbox format and burning onto a dual layer.

woo where the hell have I been? blink.gif

been busy - anyway a friend of mine is convinced that blueray is destine to be obsolete in record time do to solid state media like the solid state hard drives. The techy folks will jump on them but m,ost folks are JUST now getting used to blue ray, in fact my father in law asked me one day - whats this blue ray thing I keep seeing - is it like a dvd?

not sure what to do. might just get an upscale DVD and let prices come down a bit.

ps -=

I just pi9cked up a game cube for the boys, yeah the boys thats right, its for them. cool.gif and sitting witht he controller feels pretty good not slumping over a key board.

I had recliners setup back when my bro and I were rooming together. Crappy pics, but you get the idea:

that's awesome! Wish the wife would let me get a recliner again. Shes afraid that I'll never be seen again..the last one was 10 years ago and I didn't spend THAT much time in it.

I pretty much just plop myself within 10 feet of the ginormous screen with a wired kb and mouse (and a a couple of USB extensions cables). It's almost IMAX-esque. I tried a wireless mouse a couple of years ago, but I found it to be a bit laggy for shooters (this was typical until relatively recently). I also have a wireless Saitek controller that I use for non-fps games.
aja
i usually sit about 6 feet from my 13 foot screen, on my mini futon!

team fortress 2 looks extremely good, but unfortunately fps are hard to get used to on such a big screen.

i use a 30 dollar wireless mouse/keyboard combo from walmart (micro innovations). works well at 10 feet from the computer if the batteries aren't extremely low. a lot better than any logitech i've tried under 60 dollars.
