I'm having trouble getting my Pixelworks controller/Samsung 1080p LCD to display a full image from the computer. The top, bottom, and sides are cut off--I can't see my taskbar, scrollbars, title bars, etc.

It does this at EVERY resolution on EVERY mode (1:1, normal, anamorphic, etc).

Tried it on two different computers--a Geforce 8800GTS SLI running Vista, and a Radeon x1950Pro running XP. Used a DVI to HDMI cable on both computers.

On the ATI/XP machine, not as much is chopped off, but the controller seems to be scaling (text is blurry, even though it's set to 1:1).

On the nvidia/vista machine, more of the screen is cut off, but the image is perfectly sharp.

I'd try VGA, except that the controller's VGA input seems to be limited to a max res of 1600x1200.

Here are some photos of my cropped screen (running at 1920x1080, HDMI to DVI cable, 1:1 pixel mapping)

See if you can send it a 1920x1200 resolution which is the screens native resolution.

The 1920x1200 resolution isn't even offered on the nvidia/vista machine. The NV control panel states that 1920x1080 is the native resolution.

On the ATI/XP machine, 1920x1200 is offered, but it goes into "scrolling desktop" mode (1280x768 actual resolution, scrollable to reveal a 1920x1200 work space).

I had the same problem, of course your drivers are up-to-date? Ended up running it in Dualview, having my big screen apps like a game or movie go to the pj and my taskbar/settings etc on my monitor. For some reason the cropping did not occur on full screen blu ray/hd dvd movie.

Yea it's going to be a video driver issue. Maybe use PowerStrip. Or update or rollback to more stable drivers.

What kills me is that the thing works PERFECTLY at 1920x1200 with my laptop--no tweaking of any sort necessary. The laptop has a simple old Intel GMA950 video chipset.

Updating the drivers on the two desktop PCs didn't change a thing, so it looks like I'm gonna have to try powerstrip.

Thanks for the help. smile.gif
