I thought it would be really nice to compile a large list of projectors both new and old that are cheap to maintain for people out there who are curious to see if there are better alternatives to the expensive projectors (both for buying and maintaining) as seen in stores like best buy and circuit city.

Let me begin:

CTX Optoma EzPro 500 - 400 watt Halogen
InFocus LitePro 570 - 400 watt halogen
Torpedo Projector - 35watt MR16
LumenLab Evo - 150watt HID
Zoombox - 35watt MR16
Digital Galaxy DG-973 - 150watt Halogen
Hyperkin Game Projector - LED
Mitsubishi PK20 - LED
MP102 Portable Mini LCoS Projector - LED

This is a small collection of projectors that I have found across the web that allow the users to replace their bulbs for incredibly cheap (for less than $50) or some do not even need to be replaced for its lifetime (the LED based projectors).

Feel free to add on or correct me if there are any errors

If you're going to include the low light diamond shaped pixel toy projectors then you have to add the cardboard box, upside down tv/monitor magnifying glass/fresenl pj. You can't beat that for maintenance cost laugh.gif
