Found this 400W MH Bulb for $10.81

Smaller envelope, the only thing is that its 4200K, which I think is still pretty white. Says it'll last 10,000 hours.

You'll need a E39 Mogul Base which is different from T15 65k LL bulb's.

Can be had here http://www.hidhut.com/catalog/e39-mogul-ba...ocket-p-92.html for $3.

What do you guys think?

The CRI=60 is very low and it is a huge football shaped bulb that won't work with the Pro reflector.

I'd say pass.

same here
cri of 60 will give out ugly colors.

I long for the day of a 2 inches long lamp that'll put out 100 000 lumens, last 15 000 hours and cost 5$

LOL

For smaller size I would go with a 250 watt HQI setup. Nice CRI low price lamp and the pro reflector will work. The lamps are hard to find but the can be had.

the brightness will be about the same perhaps better if you use a condenser lens.

I recently ran across a post that showed some HQI-DE 250/DX on interlight.biz for $29.10. Read the original post here. Requires FC2 sockets.
