Full Version: EVO Faq Section?

Is there one? Could at least a post be started? When did production begin/end? Why did it end? Should we stock up on light kids for the evo 1.2 since they may not be there tomorrow? If these are HID's are there instructions for us to insert automotive bulbs that might be brighter, cooler require less power? Are there any techniques to reduce the amount of noice that sucker puts out? Overall I think it is a neat box and would like to see more of them produced but that was probably stopped a year ago.

Thank you

You can find more info in the eVo section of the forum. You can also find info in other areas by doing the following Google search: site:lumenlab.com evo
Unfortunately, a lot of the posts are missing, probably due to a server move in the past.
If you already have an eVo, and the lamps are in stock, it may be a good idea to order some back-ups, although it probably wouldn't be too difficult to modify the eVo to accept standard 150W metal halide lamps. If you don't have an eVo, they are no longer for sale through Lumenlab. You might occasionally find one in the Trading Post section, here.
Production was stopped, I believe, due to quality control issues with the manufacturing plant in China.

Thanks it seems buried. I would think that the forum would be higher up given the fact the boards owners started it. Oh well.

Why aren't there and links to the EVO products in the store from the main page? Are they trying to totally bury info on it?

I went to the store and was able to find the EVO ballast/lamp without issue. You aren't going to see a dedicated EVO section as the EVO is no longer being sold, you're just going to be looking for replacement parts.

As for the forums, Lumenlab has branched out into doing much more than making projectors, so many of the sections that used to be at the front page of the forums had to be grouped together and put in a "bucket" to maintain some sort of organization while making room for all the new projects going on in the forum. It took me a while to figure out where some of them are, but almost ALL of them got moved one way or another, not just the EVO forum.

And for those of you who aren't satisfied with that answer, then yes..lumenlab is hiding information from you. They also hate kittens and club baby seals in their free time.

And I thought I was alone. :-) It's nice to find people with things in common.
