Hello... I bought all the materials e made all the wirings...so i am ready to build the box. I talked to carpenter, who said that a timber box canīt be done for around 90 celcios , he recommended some sort of coating. In your opinio wich is the better way of doing the box.

Thanks in advance

If you mean to say he claimed you should not use a wooden enclosure at greater than 90°C F!!! then I say "pffft". Just use some aluminum foil from a grocery store turkey basting container or some aluminum flashing from the construction store to protect any wood which may be subjected to high heat. smile.gif

Just visit some plogs and you'll see many, MANY wooden enclosures here.

the guy at bunnings freaked a little when I mentioned 90'celcius as well, somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I am under the assumption when these guys talk about how hot the box gets they are talking 90' farenheit (I'm sure there is a g in that word somewhere) so I think that only in the 30's with celsius

Yes, it's 90 degrees Fahrenheit (no "g"), not Celsius.

Even at 90 celsius, not quite 200 fahrenheit, a wooden box is not going to catch fire unless you left the projector on for a VERY long time (ie: a year or two). However, all your plastics would probably start melting. tongue.gif Most soft wood will start smoldering between 260 and 280 fahrenheit.
