Check my thoughts guys. I've got an old rear projection. It's a 52" widescreen. It doesnt work and not worth my effort or money to troubleshoot. Each CRT inside has 2 lenses on it. If my basic understanding of light holds correct, should I be able to put an LCD/Bulb assembly in it's place? I would think it would need a lower wattage bulb than a standard homemade projector since it's not having to project more than guessing 4 feet.

I did a search for rear projection with no luck. It's been a while since I've been here and I know there were some projects similar to this.
