Over the past year I've been (slowly) putting money into a decent gaming/media computer. I currently have this hooked up to my 52" HD LCD TV. It's nice when I want to game, I'll have my large screen, sound system, and controllers. However when I need to use it for anything other than games or movies, I hate sitting on the couch to do it.

So recently I got a computer desk and Dell computer to use as an office/internet computer. Well there are a few applications that I need to use, that the poor Dell just can't handle to run. However my media PC can handle them just fine.

Is there a way I can remotely connect (using the Dell across the room) to run and see applications ran on the media PC? If I could have the application run on the more powerful computer (for graphics and CPU work) then just send a streaming view of the desktop to my Dell, that way the dell only has to view what media PC has already did the work to create. Also be able to use the Dell's mouse/keyboard to operate the media PC.

I'm not really wanting to run a VGA across the room b/c it would require a 20ft VGA cable and thats just not practical. Id rather run all this via Ethernet (RJ45 or Wireless G).

Anyone know of apps to do this?

There are definitely ways to do it, including Remote Desktop, VNC, etc.
Do some searches on Google, and you will find what you need.
