Hi there,
I worked for an optician for several years and when people damaged to AR/AG coatings on there glasses. We were able to remove the coating completely by giving them a quick soak in a ceratin solution. There were limitations, it only worked on certain plastics.

Does anyone no if this has been looked into for lcd purposes. I don't know the name of the soution but could find out?

The only post I could find to reference this was here: http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=92531
If you had the name of the solution, I could do a better search.

I think the major problem with submerging the panel completely would be the risk of removing the polar layer, as well.
