So, in a rush tonight to do a quick test, I managed to tear an edge connector off the logic board. I have tried taping it back on, but it doesn't seem to want to go back on 100% right. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for fixing this?

Also, the panel was out of an IBM Thinkvision L150P screen. I like the controller because it has VGA and DVI inputs. What are the chances of finding a replacement panel/screen for a good price that will hook up to this controller? The panel hooks up to the controller via 2 40-pin .5mm pitch FFC cables, if that makes any difference. I'm hoping there is some compatible panel out there I can just hook up and go, or something.

Most likely you will need to buy a new Lcd.

A replacement will be next to impossible to find and there is no way to fix a torn ffc of that magnitude.

Well, I bought a new screen: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=300254350474

Don't see anyone talking about experiences with it, but it has good specs, was pretty cheap, so I took a gamble on it. From the pics, the scratch doesn't look too bad, so I'm hoping it's not through the AG layer.

If the LCD is still working, then the scratch is almost certainly not through the AG material. You might not even have to strip the AG material, looking at the pictures.

Hope this works out for you.

Ah, I have the screen, the scratch isnt too bad, but I stripped the AG anyway. It's an LG panel, one with the hard coat so I was worried, but it all stripped fine, front and back, though the back tore, so I had to work it from another corner.

Only problem is tiny hairline scratches on the front panel from cleaning, prolly because I wiped it with a paper towel instead of just grabbing a microfiber cloth. The scratches aren't through the polar though, so I'm hoping they don't project.
