Hi all,

Like may others i bought an Infocus LP755 off ebay with no lamp. At the moment the unit does not turn on or make any sounds, nor do any of the leds light up and im hoping this is purely because it wont allow any function without the lamp. So i obviously want to bypass the safety switch preventing me from using the projector.

I've searched all over the internet and found one person who had the exact same projector. What this person did was short these two sets of two pins. The link to the comments from instructables is below. You'll see in the pics what i mean...

The pics arent too good. Basically they are spring loaded, so that when you insert the lamp with its carriage, the pins are depressed and im assuming on the carriage there is some wire that closes the circuit and i suppose this tells the unit that there is a lamp and that everything can be powered on.

Now the persons description of how he shorted out the pins leaves me a little confused so i was wondering if anyone here had an idea how to fix this.

It looks a little like this.... the x is a pin...everything else is written on the board. There are also two wires going to the board.
