Hi there,
With my lack of patience to get started on my full hd project, I ordered the MST controller, not realizing that it was not capable of 1:1 pixel mapping. I live in the UK - so sending it back via customs and getting the pixelworks controller...lets just say 1080p may be obsolete by then. Ive done my best to search the forums but have not found the answer I'm looking for...so my question is - for those of you running the mst with a 1080p source (not pc), how does it look? Stretched and silly? Hardly noticable? Acceptable with such tinkering? I'm very worried...sorry for rambling.
Thanks:)

Don't worry about it, seriously. I have that controller and run HD stuff all the time (xbox 360, etc.) with no problems. Maybe if you had a 1:1 controller and that side by side showing the same image you could tell, but again it all looks great to me. I wouldn't return it. Give it a shot. I would be surprised if you hate it, but if so, you can sell it and get a 1:1 controller. Good luck on the build either way.

I don't have any experience with that specific MST controller, but on an LCD TV w/o 1:1 mapping things seem to look more clear using a D-SUB (analog) connection rather than a DVI/HDMI one, so if you get it and it's not all that excellent you can give that a go.
