Full Version: contrast dark spot

I have tweaked my projector to something I am happy but still have an issue that I can't seem to resolve no matter what. When looking at a normal image, the colors and contrast look OK, but when I run vertical grayscale bars on PGEN, I see a dark triangle in the bottom middle of my image.

I have tried rotating my bulb, my lenses, moving the bulb, but nothing seems to make it go away. Its almost like it is a shadow from somthing in the box. Any advice as to what might be causing this?? I get this as soon as I turn the bulb on, even when the LCD is cool.

Thanks,
Greg

Check your fresnels for warping, particularly while hot. This can throw out the light, causing too much light to miss your triplet.

Also, post a pic of the inside surface of the triplet, where it's mounted. As much light as possible should be hitting the glass of the triplet, with little hitting the walls around it.
